Tomorrow, Wednesday, the 32nd Qatar International Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses, title show, will start, which is held as part of the activities of the third edition of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the country.

The General Foundation for the Cultural Village "Katara" is organizing the festival, which opened on the first of the current month of February and continues until the 11th of it on Katara Beach, in cooperation with the Racing and Equestrian Club and the Qatar Equestrian Federation, with the participation of more than 480 heads of horses, and with financial prizes amounting to 17,833,000. One thousand and 500 Qatari riyals, with the participation of 18 countries, and includes three main competitions. The festival began with the competitions and activities of the Algerian Horse Championship, which was held for four consecutive days, then the Katara auction of qualified purebred Arabian horses, which was held yesterday, Monday, and ends with the competitions and activities of the "Title" championship. what"

  The festival is witnessing the participation of Qatar, Italy, Uruguay, Kuwait, Denmark, Brazil, the Emirates, America, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Britain, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Palestine, Poland and France.

High prize money for the "Tail Show" championship

The organizing committee of the festival has allocated high financial prizes for the Title Show Championship, which will be awarded to the winners of the first to sixth positions for all categories participating in the qualifying qualifiers for the championship, where prizes from the first to the sixth are given to the category of fillies and foals, one year old, respectively (55, 40, 35, 20 and 10) thousand riyals. Qatar, as for the fillies and fillies category / two and three years / the prizes come in succession (85, 65, 55, 45, 35, 20) thousands of riyals, and for the category of stallions and mares of 4 years and above, the financial prizes come in succession (100, 75, 60, 50, And 40, and 30) thousand Qatari riyals.

   As for the prizes for the Champions category, in the last days of the tournament, the winner of the gold medal for the one-year-old foals category will receive a financial prize of 250,000 riyals, 150,000 riyals for the silver winner, 100,000 riyals for the bronze winner, and for the two- and three-year category, the gold winner will receive 800,000 riyals and 430,000 riyals for the silver. 1000, and 350,000 riyals for bronze, and for the stallion and mares category of 4 years and over, the gold winner will receive one million Qatari riyals, 600,000 riyals for silver, and 300,000 riyals for bronze.

   Three-day qualifying tournament

The championship competitions will start tomorrow with the qualifying qualifiers for the fillies of one, two and three years of age, while the qualifying qualifiers will be the day after tomorrow, Thursday, for foals from the age of one, two and three years and mares from the age of 4 to 6 years, while the qualifiers next Friday will include the qualifying qualifiers for mares of age From 7 to 10 years, from 11 years and over, and for stallions from 4 to 6 years, from 7 to 10 years and from 11 and over, while Saturday will witness the finals of the tournament, bringing the curtain down on the festival.

The horses that finish in the first three places will qualify for the final stage of the tournament to choose the winners of the first places and the gold, silver and bronze medals. An amount of (13,900,000 Qatari riyals) has been allocated as prizes for the Title Show tournament, in addition to in-kind prizes.

The Title Show Championship is the focus of attention for horse owners and breeders in Qatar and abroad, as it is subject to high and world-class arbitration standards and internationally recognized rules from the European Authority for Arabian Horse Beauty Competitions (ECAHO), in addition to it includes arbitrators with experience and high competence in this field. .

Katara was keen to launch the third edition of the festival with all its elements of leadership, excellence and success, in order to embody the bright history, revive the ancient culture, and enrich the authentic heritage of the Qatari equestrian sport.

  The third edition of the International Arabian Horse Festival is witnessing a remarkable development at all levels. Katara has harnessed its great capabilities to organize this festival, show it properly, and produce it in a more distinguished way. The festival in its third edition is receiving great international interest and attention, as the number of participating countries reached 18 , to fight strong competitions with the best and finest ancient horse breeds that will be transferred from different continents of the world, and the version will witness the participation of 40 referees for the two tournaments, including 15 referees for the island horses, and 25 referees for the “Title Show” tournament.

The value of the high prizes allocated for this festival puts it at the forefront of the international championships for Arabian horses globally, which enhances Katara’s position as an incubator for major international sporting events and events.

As the prizes awarded for the festival championships amount this year to 17 million and 83 thousand and 500 Qatari riyals, in addition to in-kind prizes awarded to the first places, an amount of 13 million and 900 thousand Qatari riyals has been allocated as prizes for the “Title Show” tournament, in addition to valuable in-kind prizes presented from sponsors.
